Commonwealth approaches each landscape project with an appreciation of the cultural history of setting and an understanding that is drawn from extensive research, both on site and from archives. This approach allows us to develop and execute a comprehensive vision for a particular site.
Our services include the initial inventory of plant materials and history of a site through to detailed designs and construction drawings. All are historically informed, right down to plant materials, site furnishings, and fences, which may be typical of an earlier time. As well, we provide conservation guidelines and strategies for cemeteries and other historic landscapes.
Commonwealth also offers planning and design services for

botanic gardens. At the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park on Grand Cayman, we placed a primary emphasis on the botanic and cultural heritage of the Cayman Islands, within the context of tropical ecosystems, while also including a stunning display garden
that broadened the market for
this important attraction.
